Early Learning Centre
More than Kinder – a stronger start at ɫèֱ²¥â€™s ELC
At ɫèֱ²¥â€™s Early Learning Centre, we offer more than care, we provide a rich, nurturing environment where curiosity is sparked, creativity is celebrated, and confidence is gently built from day one. Our 3-year-old program offers up to three days per week, while Pre-Preps can attend four or five days - giving children the perfect balance of structure and play to begin their learning journey.
Our university qualified teachers guide each child through a thoughtfully designed, inquiry-based and intentional teaching curriculum enriched with specialist classes in music, library, physical education, French immersion and Indigenous education. Rated ‘Exceeding’ in all seven National Quality Areas, our ELC is a place where children are truly seen, supported and encouraged to thrive.
This rating reflects the remarkable dedication of our ELC educators, who consistently go above and beyond. It also highlights our School’s commitment to the crucial role early learning plays in every child’s growth and development.
What sets ɫèֱ²¥ apart is the connection to our whole school community. ELC children enjoy access to the School’s incredible resources from science labs and libraries, to allied health support, and benefit from a strong relationship with the Junior School, easing the transition into formal schooling and building a deep sense of belonging.

When you choose ɫèֱ²¥â€™s ELC, you're choosing more than a kinder - you’re investing in your child’s future, their confidence, and their love of learning. With guaranteed entry into our Junior School, your child’s path forward is clear, consistent and filled with opportunity.
Our ELC Handbook provides a detailed overview of what you can expect your child to experience as part of their early learning journey at ɫèֱ²¥.
Our Early Learning Centre is open from 8.45am to 3.00pm, offering two or three days in the three-year-old program, and four or five days in Pre-Prep programs to suit the needs of your child and your family.

Each day is carefully balanced with opportunities for play, discovery and connection, supporting both learning and wellbeing.
While regulations allow children to begin their early learning year if they turn three by April 30, we believe the best start happens when children are three years old at the beginning of the year (by the end of January).
If your child turns three between January and April, we recommend a conversation with our Director of Early Learning or Director of Admissions to ensure the best possible start to their journey.

Take a virtual walk through our Early Learning Centre and discover the warm, welcoming spaces where your child will learn, play, and grow. Our beautifully designed indoor and outdoor environments are thoughtfully created to inspire creativity, ignite curiosity, and encourage meaningful connections every day.
With our guaranteed entry into our Junior School from ELC, children move confidently into Prep with familiar faces, ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities. Starting Prep at ɫèֱ²¥ is an exciting and supported experience. From day one, our students enjoy a rich and varied curriculum, including specialist Science and French lessons.

While in Pre-Prep, each child is paired with a Year 5 buddy. As they move into Junior School, this relationship continues - offering a friendly face and a helping hand as they adjust to new routines and embrace life as part of the ɫèֱ²¥ community.
Learn more about the transition on our Junior School page.
The Department of Education has recently updated its approach to funding three-year-old and Pre-Prep early learning programs. We know this can be a little confusing, especially for families using more than one provider each week. As part of the new system, it’s important that you nominate us as your primary kindergarten provider.

If you have any questions or would like help understanding these changes, our Admissions team is here to help, please reach out at 03 9578 6231 or admissions@kilvington.vic.edu.au
Before/after school and holiday care programs are available on campus to our ELC and Junior Schoolers.

ɫèֱ²¥'s programs are managed by the out-of-hours care professionals Extend. Please visit their for enrolment forms, activity descriptions and further information.
